9. The Chicken Coop and the Oprah Interview
In March 2021, the couple gave a famous interview to Oprah Winfrey, who lives nearby in Montecito. The sit-down part was filmed in a beautiful garden, but it was not theirs. It was filmed at a neighbour’s home.
They did, however, show Oprah around their own backyard. They took her to see their chicken coop, which is called “Archie’s Chick Inn,” and introduced her to hens they had rescued from a factory farm.
The chickens are still part of family life today. Meghan has shared clips of Lilibet trying to pet them, showing a simple, down-to-earth side of life on this luxury estate.
