1. The $14.65 Million Property

Harry and Meghan bought the estate in June 2020 for $14.65 million. The deal was done quietly, without the house ever going on the open market. At first, the couple’s names did not even appear on the paperwork, so the news took weeks to come out.
The Mediterranean-style house was built in 2003 and sits on about 7.4 acres. It has nine bedrooms and 16 bathrooms, plus a separate two-bedroom guesthouse. Inside, there is also a library, a gym, two saunas, a lift, a games room and a wine cellar.
The couple actually got a good deal. The previous owner, Russian businessman Sergey Grishin, paid $25.3 million for it in 2009. He tried to sell it for years and finally accepted a loss of more than $10 million.
